Whenever possible, load main pack before putting on bike. Set pack on luggage rack or seat, pull adjustment ring, (Arrow - Figure B,) and slide up or down until top flap is level with top of sissy bar pad.

Pull the two bottom straps (Arrow - Figure A,) under pad and bring top flap down over top of pad onto these as shown in figure B as snug as possible. There is an extra strap (Arrow - Figure C,) to be used on tall, narrow pads, otherwise ignore.

The most crucial hookups on the main pack are the two stabilizer straps shown in Figure D. These prevent side to side sway when pack is loaded. Always fully load the main pack before attaching accessory bags. Hook these straps to a solid mount such as saddle bag mounts, frame, etc., and take up snugly.

Accessory Bags

Always run the attachment straps through the loops on the accessory bags. Clip the straps to the buckles provided on the Main Pack. On the bags with storm flaps at zipper, always make sure storm flap is at top. See Arrow on figure E. After clipping to pack, take up slack tightly and run excess strap back through loops on bag. This prevents strap from flapping in wind. Note that accessory bags can clip on in any combination. When using spare strap sets to clip on your own items, always remember to take up tightly!

Half Pack

Six inch, or smaller pad - Bring "A" between seat and backrest, bring "B" down, then bring "C" around "D" over that. Makes 4-way hookup on short pads.

Tall narrow pads - When possible, see above, otherwise bring "C" around, then "B" down onto it, then "D" over that.  "C" and "D" are the primary straps for this application. Ignore "A"

Short wide pads - Pull "A" under backrest and then "B" onto "A". Fold "C" and "D" out of way and ignore.

One piece molded seat/backrest - Bring around "C", come down with "B" and bring "D" over. This makes a pocket. Ignore "A".

* The most important hookups are the stabilizer straps shown as "E". These straps prevent side to side sway. These simply go to any mounting point and clip back to the pack. Find the most forward hookup point on your bike and snug these up.
